We're back from our spit and sawdust mini-tour
We’ve just got back from our spit and sawdust mini-tour – playing Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh – knackered after wooden floor mattresses and a whole host of fine
cuisine from Macdonalds, Burger King, and our favourite – simply named – “Kebabs Chips Fish and Burgers’ – Catchy….. was great fun all in preparation for our slot at Glastonbury – announced earlier this week by Steve Lamacq (6 Music) and Huw Stephens (Radio 1).
We are on at 2.10 on Sunday – BBC Introducing Stage.

We are in the line up for the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2010

BBC 6 Music DJ Steve Lamacq and Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens have revealed the line up for the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2010…. AND WE ARE IN IT!!!
We will be playing live on Sunday the 27th June at 2pm.
The BBC Introducing Stage showcases 31 under the radar artists from around the UK and we thrilled to be one of the acts. It is the fourth time that BBC Introducing has been at the Festival, with the stage finding a new home in the Dance Village this year.

We're on the Berklee Internet Radio playlist!
Our track ‘Bad From The Start’ made DJ BiGMAN’s playlist. He showcases a carefully sourced selection of the best unheard music coming out of the UK – so we are super stoked!

So last Thursday we went to the Ivor Novello Awards at Grosvenor House in Soho. It was absolute madness, cameras exploding at us when we arrived, followed by a delicious champagne reception where we were introduced to countless movers and shakers in music. including Sir Tim Rice, Paulo Nutini, Elly Jackson (La Roux), Natasha Kahn (Bat For Lashes), and lots of industry folk.
The awards were done over lunch with lashings of wine and more champagne. by which point everyone was getting jolly. When it came to our nomination it was all very exciting – especially hearing our track played out to everyone in the room, but sadly Lily Allen pipped us to the post (swooping 2 other awards too…). A shame, but this is early days for us and hopefully much more to come.
In the leaving bag we were given as we left there was a book of music – where they had notated everyone who was up for an award – including the Last Bus – the first time any of us had seen it written down….!
A great highlight was when Will and I pretty much ambushed Rolf Harris, who had heard our album to our surprise! What a hero……
We’ve got a busy summer ahead so hope to see you at some of our festivities, including Festivals, a tour (YES we are FINALLY getting out of London!), recording, writing, and generally busying ourselves as much as we can to get our music new and old to all of you fine people. See you soon!
